Tempo lunghissimo di avvio KDE

Da quando ho cambiato la disposizione delle barre di kde (una normale in basso e una a scomparsa in alto), cosa che ho fatto molto tempo fa a dire il vero, KDE impiega un tempo lunghissimo ad avviarsi, mostrando schermo nero e il puntatore del mouse. Dopodiché, compaiono 3 richieste della password di Kdewallet (su Mandriva ne ho sempre usata una sola anche se accedevano diverse applicazioni) e solo dopo aver inserito la password per Knetworkmanager compaiono finalmente le barre spaziatrici e lo sfondo del desktop (alcune applicazioni che erano aperte alla chiusura si riaprono prima, ma le barre arrivano solo dopo l'inserimento di quella password).
Dopo gli ultimi aggiornamenti, inoltre, mi compare anche la finestra che chiede la password di root per wicd (ma non fa più o meno la stessa cosa di Knetworkmanager?), applicazione che puntualmente chiudo.
C'è un modo per velocizzare il tutto?
